Mit einer Nikon Spiegelreflex Kamera zum 12. Geburtstag entdeckt David Matthiessen die Fotografie für sich. Während des Architekturstudiums wächst die Faszination für die Fotografie, so folgt das Studium der Visuellen Kommunikation und verschiedene Assistenzen bei Architektur- und Werbefotografen.

Seit 2009 ist David Matthiessen als selbstständiger Architekturfotograf tätig.

Seine Arbeiten entstehen überwiegend mit einer Alpa Mittelformatkamera und Nikon Equipment.

David Matthiessen discovered photography on his 12th birthday when a Nikon reflex camera was given to him as a present. His fascination for photography grew while studying architecture, inspiring him to study visual communication and assist photographers in the fields of architecture and advertising.

David Matthiessen is working as an independent architecture photographer since 2009.

His works are predominantly taken with an Alpa medium format camera and Nikon equipment.
